Agreed. It's a shame, as I'd like to see a real attempt to depict the German perspective of D-Day, in German. Like the Letters from Iwo Jima.

There was a very moving account by a German soldier who was in a machine "pill box" on Omaha beach. He was terrified, they were pouring water on the barrels to cool them, they left when out of ammunition with literally thousands of spent cases all over the floor.
