hey there
im seaching for information about the b-17g liberty belle 42-97849. Photos would be great but it has to be old ones not the new ones from the beautiful liberty belle that was reconstructed.
i would also like to know if anybody knows where it force landed and if anybody knows her crew from when she went down.
hope to get some nice information.

Yep.. but I would say that's one of colour shots of the currently flying plane taken these days and turned into the B&W pic.

thanks a lot do you by any chance know where it is? I've read that it force landed in belgium but what happened after that?

See post #2 above - it was "salvaged" (parted out) 18 Feb. 1945.
