B-26 vs. Ju-88

What was the better aircraft?

Frankly the Ju88 seems to have better performance, despite its limited internal bomb bay capacity. Was there any other factors that I'm missing?

you are also comparing a rather loaded down late war B-26 which is going to fly rather different missions than the Ju-88A-4.

earlier versions with the lower wing incidence and without the 'cheek' .50 cal guns and a few other additions were faster.

You might want to check the actual radius of action with a given bomb load too.

Ju 88Hs were very rare LR fighters/recon planes
Ju 88Ss were limited production conversions of Ju 88A-4s
Ju 188s were late-war serie production bombers and recon planes, so comparable to late war B-26s as were late production Ju 88A-4s
