As a first thread in this section (thanks Crunch!!) I thought we might be able to list some very bad flight sims that are out there. I have a tendancy to check bargain bins and see what pops up - sometimes good, sometimes bad.

The absolute worst I ever grabbed was a game called "Pearl Harbor: Attack, Attack!". This was a game for the PC and for the change that I paid I thought what could hurt. It must have been developed by a 2d Grader!!! Every aspect of this was horrible, graphics, acurracy, etc. Botom line - STAY AWAY!!!

Now on the other hand I found a game called "The Battle of Britain". This cool little game is more like "Risk" where you plan the battle and then watch what happens. You can do a week campaign, monthly or the whole time involved. You have to set what groups are involved, at what time, what height, escorts (high, low), move squadrons, etc, etc. VERY involved. But I loved it. I would spend an hour planning a mission and then 10 minutes watching what happens. And it was addictive. And all for $5 in the bargain bin.

Anybody else have any hits or misses?

i got one games for my old PS2 it was called...uhm...wait...its coming Deadly Skies 3...that's it, i thought it was gonna be a REALLY cra*ppy game cause it cost $10AUS but nah its a really fun games the graphics are good, game play is awesome and there is one character that only uses WW2 aircraft

definite hit from the bargain bin has to be 'European Air War', a ten year old sim from Microprose that still has an active modding community and is being upgraded all the time, it has thousands of mods available from 'Sandbaggers repository'

EAW - Tally Ho

and is still alive online... my best buy ever without a doubt....

cheers,

Pobs

I agree Pobs. EAW I also got from the bargain bin and in my opinion is better than IL2. Great game!
