Is this possibly an instrument housing? It is from the same group of artefacts.

Was this model of instrument fitted to many types of Luftwaffe aircraft or is it possible to confirm that it did ( or did not) originate from a Bf 109 that was destroyed in 1940?Yes it looks like a piece of a gauge with a part of box/aircraft structure it was attached to.
