Hello, I have access to the village blackout log of Milborne Port, Somerset.
Reported by the wardens are instances of them attending two crashes here,
First - (14/4/43 guard crashed aircraft at Swatchford). This is a known location and the at the time Farmers Son (4 at the time) is still living in the village and remembers it but not the type of aircraft.
Second - May 1944 (possibly 18th) (report of crashed plane). No other details so could be local to the village only.
We have full details of the 21st July 1939 Wellington (L4290) crash but would appreciate any more information on the other reports please.
