Truly the most beautiful post WW2 bomber. The B-52 is a better aircraft but it lost the beauty in the process.

You should see the B47 in person. Quite a pretty plane. They have one at the March AFB museum.

Were these pics taken in England? Looks like there were some RAF F-86's in one of the pics.

There was a post on this site a moon-or-two-back suggesting that white wall tires lasted longer because they reflected UV rays that broke down the side walls. Germans started the practice if I recall
