Good stuff, that is quite a clock...
Well it is interesting but there used to be a very old clockwork (from 1421, I think) that was simply destroyed by the Commies and this was assembled instead... :pukeleft:

Actually, I know both Olomouc and Blava very well. The man at work is quite new, but there used to be real person, nicknamed Schöne Náci, who has a statue of himself also. He used to greet ladies with his cylynder and would have alwys add: "schöne, schöne".

Established in 13th or 14th century was later adapted as the "high security"prison - one of the most famous prisons in Europe (gained its dark fame during the reign of Austrian empress Maria Theresa and emperor Joseph II.
During the WW2 there were stationed some German units and its dungeons were used as airraid shelters.

Now it's time for Austerlitz (first part)
Last Saturday in Tvarozna over 4000 people took part in a reenactment of "the battle of three emperors" (battle of Austerlitz, 2.12.1805). It was cold, windy but worth going. Enjoy :)

PS: first fwe photos are from Slapanice - where there was a flea market.

Correct form is CZECH!!! Grrr, not Chechnya god dammit!

Ad Špilberk.
The first written source about the castle is from 1277 to 1279, describing nobility congress there and chapel building.

Ad the Battle of Slavkov (Austerlitz).
The Battle at Slavkov
