C-47 vs Li-2

The Li-2, in my opinion, is one of the most interesting aircraft of WWII. It was the Soviet license-built C-47, and was equipped with UBT and ShKAS machine guns. They also used them as night bombers. Basically a C-47 carbon copy, except for the engines that were at about 1000 hp. Again proving that this aircraft was arguably the greatest aircraft ever built!

Absolutely, especially given the fact that the armaments on the Li-2 were initially field modifications and then included in the production plans. It goes to show the versatility of the C-47
