Can anybody identify this aircraft tyre?

I have this tyre now for over 40 years.
Always thought it was from a Horsa Glider, however i'm not sure.
Does anybody recognize it?

Not sure what it's off, but the style of the wheel is different to that on the Horsa, and looks more modern.

I agree with Airframes - the wheel definitely looks well post war.

The AM crows foot and 27A3698 both indicate British Air Ministry. Have a look around the tyre for a "stamped" in production date like modern tyres have. I do not know when the production date was added, that could have been at any time.

Goodyear military tread during WW2 was typically diamond pattern. This looks like post war rib.

Just looked at it on a full size screen - GA 12'65 is the factory and date code so made in Dec 65

I don't know but GA struck me as general aviation.
