Can this be a Heinkel He111 H-3 part?

So in the first day's of the war in Norway 2 Heinkel He 111 got shot down just a few kilometers from where I live, a H2 and H3.

One of them is completely looted many many years ago. But the other one has been hidden in a small forrest right next to a relatives land. We found this small piece thats been shot several times a good walk away from where the wreck is and I cant seem to find any info from the stamping on it. But its also a hunting ground so can maybe be from a little target practice. Been awesome if anyone know!

Welcome to the Forum. Sounds like a great find.

It looks like a simple aircraft aluminium part. The Witus name and number might mean something to a He 111 specialist.
It would be interesting to see photo's of the one "hidden in the forest"!

Yes it does, and so close by it most likely is. Just wanted others opinion and maybe what part.

Well the looted one landed higher in the mountain where its no tree's almost and most of the plane was fine, its well documented with a couple pictures and eye witnesses. German's took some of it down to lower grounds, but the rest was not far from the road so curious locals and others visited and took souvenir's over the years and now its nothing left at all!

The other one also documented, landed down a hill on fire is the rumours, and went back up a bit and then down again making a couple impacts but also in much worse terrain and with trees, making it less ideal for everyone to just stop and pick souvenir's!

Now almost all is covered in moss so need to look very carefully. We documented many big pieces meter's long just that you just saw a couple centimeter's of.

Hope this made some sense, as I may have written it as it was a whole plane just laying in the forrest.

The part looks to be a fairly lightweight piece of pressed aluminium, possibly an internal part. It has stiffening pressed shapes that would be created to stop it panting or bending and I don't think it is very structural, more like a door or partition or possibly a table/storage box?
The aircraft in pieces may be more important today, possibly with some value for a museum?
