Finally had some time to watch these, Sunny. Very good video.

I never realized that Yamamoto made a critical mistake by not bombing the Hawaii fuel reserves for the Pacific Fleet. According to the narration, those reserves would have delayed the Pacific Fleet full response until 1943 until they were rebuilt and replaced.

Can anyone comment on that?
 
I've read/heard that several times Matt.
I don't know about the time frame it would have taken to fix the fuel depots though.
The time frame seems a bit long to me considering how fast things were being built during the war.

IMO, I still think the Japanese would have had to pull back because they didn't have the resources to take and hold Hawaii.
Pearl Harbor would have just been the first rush project of the Pacific for the Americans.

The other thing the Japanese didn't destroy was the dry docks.
Had they done that the repairs would have had to wait until the ships could be towed to the West Coast or the drydocks rebuilt.
I think that would have been a more critical target to destroy than the fuel dumps.
