Chair or seat, aircraft type unknown
I recently acquired this chair or seat
I want to know want it was used in?
The chair swivels but does not go up and down.
seller said it may by from a B-36 crew member seat, but I could find no match
Please help! If I can ID seat as from a B-36 it may go to Museum display

only number on it is a part number on the base

I found this in a military collectibles catalog, but It does not match anything in the B-36 that I can verify.

I haven't been able to come up with anything either, but some observations;

It seems stationary, so it definitely is not a pilot's seat as that would be adjustable.

There are provisions for the standard seat belts as shown in the catalog page

It's not from a B-36 (at least a later one)

It seems not to support a seat parachute

I wish i could be of more help, I'll continue to look and see if I come across anything.
