This is an other spin off of my Fighters, single engine, one man, production 1940/44
I will try to identify when there have been major changes in the wing and in the airframe in the single engine single seat fighters built in 1940-1944 , unlucky i've data only on the dimensions

Corrections and help are welcomed

CAC Boomerang, i'm not aware of changes
Focke Wulf Fw 190, there were changing in the length from A-5, and again for the D series
Focke Wulf Ta 152, i'm not aware of changes, *only the production variant are considered, in this only H
Messerschmitt Bf 109, the wing and the airframe from Emil were changed in the Toni and in the Friedrich this were used for all the following variant,
Caudron C.714, i'm not aware of changes
Dewoitine D.520, i'm not aware of changes
Marcel Bloch MB.152&155, i'm not aware of changes
Morane-Saulnier MS.406, i'm not aware of changes
Fiat C.R.42, i'm not aware of changes
Fiat G.50, a bit short airframe in the Bis variant
Fiat G.55, i'm not aware of changes
Macchi C.200, the wing get asymmetrically shortened for troubles, after early block, possible retrofitted
Macchi C.202&205V, i'm not aware of changes
Reggiane Re.2000, hungarian built were longer
Reggiane Re.2001, i'm not aware of changes
Reggiane Re.2005, i'm not aware of changes
Fokker D.XXI, i'm not aware of changes
Kawanishi N1K-1J&-2J, the passage to -2J put the wing from middle to low position and a longer airframe
Kawasaki Ki-61, from the Tei variant get a longer airframe
Mitsubishi A5M, i'm not aware of changes
Mitsubishi A6M, the models from the Type 32 were a bit longer, and the models Type 32&52 had a smaller wingspan comparate to that of Type 11, 21&22
Mitsubishi J2M, the sources are not agree, for some the M3 was longer of older models
Nakajima Ki-27, i'm not aware of changes
Nakajima Ki-43, the II&III models are longer of I, the I and the first 146 II had a longer wingspan
Nakajima Ki-44, the II Otsu and Hei are a bit shorter of preceding,
Nakajima Ki-84, i'm not aware of changes
IAR 80 family, the first 200 are a bit shorter, the first 211 had a smaller wingspan
LaGG-3, i'm not aware of changes
La-5, i'm not aware of changes
La-7, i'm not aware of changes, airframe and wing very similar to La-5, possible could be considered same aircraft
MiG-1, i'm not aware of changes
MiG-3, i'm not aware of changes, is just a bit longer of MiG-1, could be considered a simple variant of MiG-1
Polikarpov I-153, i'm not aware of changes
Polikarpov I-16, Type 24, 28 and 29 are a bit longer of Type 10
Yakovlev Yak-1, i'm not aware of changes
Yakovlev Yak-7, i'm not aware of changes, same length of Yak-1 but with wider airframe
Yakovlev Yak-9, the models U, T&TD, PD and K get a longer airframe, each different, the PD get also a larger wingspan
Yakovlev Yak-3, i'm not aware of changes, practically a Yak-1 with shorter wing
VL Myrsky, i'm not aware of changes
FFVS J22, i'm not aware of changes
Hawker Hurricane, the I was shorter of the following
Hawker Typhoon, i'm not aware of changes
Hawker Tempest, the II was longer of the V
Supermarine Spitfire, the early model to Spitfire V/Seafire III were 9.12 meters long, the VII 9.54 m, the VIII 9.26 m, the IX 9.47 m, the XII 9.63 m. the XVI 9.55 m, the XIV&21 9.96 m, standard wingspan was 11.23 m larger, clipped was 9.8m and extended 12.24 m, the wing was the same only changed in the ends, the wing on the 21 was new but was large like the old.

Bell Kingcobra, i'm not aware of changes
Brewster Buffalo, A-3&439 were longer
Chance Vought Corsair, the -4 was longer
Curtiss Hawk, the Twin Wasp powered were a bit longer of the Cyclone powered
Curtiss Warhawk, the first F were a very bit shorter of the precedent, the following (from F-5 and K-10) were longer
Curtiss Wright CW-21, the B were longer
Grumman Wildcat, i'm not aware of changes
Grumman Hellcat, i'm not aware of changes
North American Mustang, the Merlin powered were a bit shorter
Republic P-35, i'm not aware of changes
Republic Lancer, the Y were shorter
Republic Thunderbolt, the C&D became longer of the B, and M&N became a bit longer of the C&D, the N had a larger wingspan
Vultee Vanguard, i'm not aware of changes

Fokker d21, the made a retractable landing gear for it, but cost servicability and speed gain didnt way up to proceed. Acess to bf109 would not have helped either.

You missed the Bf 109E-F. The F is basically a new fighter, like going from Typhoon to Tempest.
