I just discovered this fantastic brand of Lego-like kits from Cobi in Poland while at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum in Hamilton, ON.

My boy has a few of their kits. They're nice, but they aren't as sturdy (bad design, or worse plastic quality) as the "real" Lego's for playing. But sure, they look way more realistic. One model in particular, a Spit Mk V, has a poor mechanism holding the landing gears raised, a kind of claw piece where a stub in the landing gear goes in and holds it in. A couple of these claw pieces have broken; luckily you can order replacement parts from the cobi webshop, but for such small parts the postage costs are as big as the pieces themselves..
