Spiteful XIV , F8F-2 Bearcat , Ki-84 Hayate , Ta 152 H-1 , F4u-4 , P-51H Mustang , DH Hornet , Fw-190D-13 , F7F-4N
which one is fastest in level flight at high / medium / low altitude ?
which one have the best acceleration at high/ medium/ low speed ?
which one climb fastest in high/medium/low altitude ?
which one have best turn rate in high speed ?
which one dive fastest ?
it would also be useful if you can tell me not only which is best in each question but also which is the second , third ..etc ?

in a 1 vs 1 dogfight which one you want to be in ?

Easy choice for me ... Bearcat.

I'd want the one with four 20 mm cannons.

yeah, i have a soft spot for the bearcat, but a sentimental spot for the Sea Fury as well. RAN did well with the Sea Fury, was front line for us until 1954.

in my opinion, F8F-2 is not late or near post AC, that was F8F-1.

even F8F-1B appeared in 1947.

F8F-2 is definitely post-WWII, but why exclude the last generation of piston fighters?

They were the best of the breed ever to fly. If you're going to choose one, might as well choose the best one. Jets killed them all as first-line fighters within a few years anyway.

I have a soft spot for the Sea Fury, too. One of my favorites of all times.
