I used to know this old guy (since passed) that claimed he was in the 3rd Army under Patton. (No idea what unit or anything else) He told of his experience of the march to Bastogne that is now famous... he included many details that led me to believe it was authentic. He was a interesting guy and put Patton on a very high pedestal. Those guys are almost all gone now.
