Dan Wheldon #77 R.I.P.

Dan Wheldon was mortally injured in a huge 15 car pile up at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway today early in the race.

His Indy car flew several hundred feet and hit the wall cockpit-first. He was taken by air ambulance to the hospital where he later passed away.

While he wasn't my favorite driver, I respect his skills and accomplishments.

Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and those affected by this tragic event

It was an horrific accident, I watched it live and you knew there was a problem fairly soon after, surprised there weren't more serious injuries.
