OK,
from Department of Defense: MIL-STD-196E "Joint Electronics Type Designation System" (AN/xxx-***)"
entry reads " AN/ARW-61 - H3A. AN/ARW-61 Ann TM-61 (KP "Matador")."

R-393 would be the receiver portion of the complete equipment set.

also from TM 11-487C-1/MIL-HDBK-162A "MILITARY STANDARDIZATION HANDBOOK UNITED STATES RADAR EQUIPMENT"
which describes Radar Course Directing Centrals AN/MPQ-14 and AN/MPQ14A automatically compute a course from the aircraft to a predetermined

ground target, and guide the aircraft over the ground target, a part being Radio Receiver AN/ARW-61

Maybe if you say how this plate came into your possession, possibly some of this equipment was released to the surplus market

I never like a mystery to remain unsolved.

Regards,
Bobby

I couldn't tell you exactly how it was acquired. Was in my late fathers collection.
