can anyone help with this please , I have been told that it is ww2 blade ,but not to sure, it was my late fathers , I have had it polished up and have added photos of the blade , it measures ,40 1/2 inches high and 71/4 wide ,, 1mtre 20 long and 185 wide , thank you for any assistance with this ,it also has SCRAP marked on it ,

This blade would make a propeller perhaps 85 inches (7 feet) in diameter. This is too small for WWII fighter, bomber or large transport. If it is WWII, likely trainer, liaison, or light transport.

It has the De Havilland inspection stamps on the blade butt, so I would tend to believe it to be a De Havilland propeller blade. It is a left hand rotation blade so that is the direction of rotation for a Dove. But the rotation would not be correct for a RR Merlin powered aircraft like a Spitfire or Hurricane. The blade is missing the steel bearing races on the butt of the blade which are installed during the forging process, so this blade could never be flown again.
