While this is not my favorite aircraft of all time, I can't find a PB4Y-2, and don't want to get into a B-24J conversion. I do not believe I have the experience for that, as this will be my first complete scale plastic build.

Due to a misunderstanding, I am already a month behind !

Worked on the cockpit, today, and it's pretty well done. Also put the bombs together and painted them, plus the ladder.
I will say Tamiya's instructions leave much to be desired when it comes to colors. Monogram tell you what color every part
is. Pic's attached.... Sorry my camera does not take good close-up's.

Got some work done on the Rufe, today, also got a better pic of the cockpit. Painted the inside if the starboard fuselage half, constructed the dolly and it's painted. Got the engine painted. The cowl put together, filled the seams, sanded and painted. Also got the back side of the prop painted.

Sorry about the pic's.... you'd think a $1,200.00 camera would take better close-ups !!

Slow but sure...

Charles

Nice start Charles! I have the same problem with my $700 Olympus, just doesn't want to focus close. The way I get around it is to take the picture from a greater distance set on high res and crop the picture close before I resize to 800x600. Works pretty good. Using a tripod and shooting at f-22 for a longer depth of field helps a lot too.
