The other 109 in the background is to build the Erich Leie machine (GeschwaderAdjudant JG2, Bf 109F-4 during Summer 1941)

Ready for the paint...


Need opinion regarding photo on post #11. The engine undercowl is RLM04 and I think the engine cover was RLM04 and then repainted with RLM75 and RLM75 blotches. What do you think ?
 
The underside cowl would be Yellow, in line with the I.D. markings of the period. The main engine cowl would have probably had a washable, distemper-type yellow finish over the original camouflage colours. This would have been removed using gasoline, to show the original finish.
