As of right now I will be constructing the aircraft shown in the last photo. It is a ship from 2./ Nachtjagdgeschwader 4 based at Langendiebach Germany in February 1945. Werk. # 160619.

    Cheers,

    Jeff

Very cool Jeff! This one was definitely on my radar as a possible subject since it is a classic night fighter. Looking forward to it!

Good one Jeff. Wouldn't be a night GB without one of these.

I think you selected the scheme without the shark mouth. Probably a good idea as that decal may a bit of entertainment fitting around the nose.

Good choice Jeff, and a nice kit - I built it for the first GB.

I agree plus the paint job looks a tad easier than the mottling of the shark mouth ship.

    Cheers,

    Jeff

be careful with lots of dry fitting of the Nacelles as they are not a perfect fit...

And from memory, there's a slight gap on the underside of one wing, easily filled with a strip of plastic or stretched sprue.

Got the cockpit assembled and put into place. Once that was done the fuselage sides were joined together.

Looking at pictures always shows the warts so a few minor touchups were performed and the control panel was reset so it now is flush under the conning deck of the front end of the cockpit. Most of the cockpit detail is out of sight once the halves are joined.
