Looking good man

When i did my 190 I used make up applicators, similar to cotton buds. Dipped the end in a tiny bit of thinners then applied after wiping all the excess off the end until it almost had no paint on it. I then just dabbed a little at a time and then wiped off what I'd done on the fuselage leaving a faint tinting of mottle. Repeated it built and got darker but also looked 'sprayed' somewhat.

Yep, that's the way Alex. You can do a similar thing with a fine, damp brush, but it takes a LONG time, having to sort of 'tickle' each piece of mottle.
I'd try to explain how it's done, but it's virtually impossible without demonstrating, one to one. Doubt it would even work on video, otherwise I'd try to make a video presentation.

I second Terry's suggestion with the dry-brush. I did it on my 410. Get a cloth or something you can mess up, put paint on the brush, wipe on the cloth until almost nothing can be seen then have a go at the plane. VERY light and build pressure. Try a practice piece first if not sure. You CAN get an airbrushed effect!

 
Looking much better Daniel.If you think you need to do any more, just soften it a LITTLE bit on the sides, using a very dry brush, but only if you think it really needs it. The lighting in the pic is reflecting the layers of paint, making it look a bit heavy on the top, so it's hard to tell exactly, but don't overdo it. Remember, when the clear coats go on, it will all smooth out and soften anyway. Good work mate.
