Got some of the cockpit done

Been working on several items all at the same time. Interior and gun wells for the most part. Haven't decided if I want the gun wells open or not. I like the Dragon kit much better then the Eduard, I know it is newer and they have learned from the Eduard. Many of the things Eduard decided to do in PE were done in plastic and very finely done at that. It's just my opinion, which is fine because I'm not opinionated, I'm right! (It would be at this moment when my wife says, Yeah right!)

It should be said that Eduard have learned form their early attempts (like the Bf110) as well. Their more recent kits are some of the best out there in my opinion.
 
I agree, they have come a long way. Their 110 though is a tough build but it's not bad when done. They could update it some to included more plastic options as CH/Dragon, their Weekend edition lacks a lot without the PE and some of the PE is way too fragile to work with if your a klutz like me. the lower antaina just shriveled up and that was the end of that for me, I'll still them from the CH kit. That being said I've see CH/Dragon do kits that made your head spin also. You can't win them all but you can lean and vote with your wallet!
 
That being said, The Eduard Bf 110 does build a nice model, you have to use the modeling skills you have learned over the years. The Dragon does not have a lot of fit issues and I think the design layout makes more since, (IMHO). The wings have the wingtips added with the light detail, also all the control surfaces are adjustable so if you want rudder you can add them off center or flaps and ailerons. THe kit uses a wing box which makes for a sturdier wing mate and helps hole the fuselage better during mating of the halfs. If you want to display the 20MMs open then the wing box adds extra detail.

I picked up the QB Exhaust designed for the Fuji kit but I doubt I'll have any issues with it. The aerials for the rear of the aircraft. If you get the Eduard Weekend edition, you wont have then at all. I messed mine up but I have several of the CH kits and will steal from the "E" model kit for my Eduard.

Ok I've been away from the workbench for a little bit so here is the update.

Wings and tail plane on. I had a bit of a ridge where the engine nacelle meets the back on the wing mount. I had to sand and file it down, (Wing side, both wings), and that was the most issue there.

I had thought about dropping the flaps, but a long review of my books and the internet I did not see it. even in take off they did not seem to use much flaps. I put them and all control surfaces in basic neutral. and shot the RLM 71 upper then after several hours I masked for the RLM 70. I used Vallejo "Model Air" colors for this kit. I am using the same paint scheme on both kits but Testors acrylic colors on the Eduard. You can note the difference and would like inputs on both as to which you think is closer.
