Working on the interior. The rear radar operators compartment is from the Koster vacuform set, has floor, back armor plate and 2 side walls. For the cockpit I have some leftover parts from an Eduard photoetch set, since I used a True Details resin set in my P-38J I didn't use all of the metal parts. After attaching most of the interior parts I gave everything a coat of my interior green, it is Model Master interior green mixed with flat black as it seems too light out of the bottle. I may do the armored plates and the seats olive drab, need to find out if they were that color on the -M as they were built from production -L aircraft.

Ok a little research online and I found out that Monogram had it wrong, the radar does not attach to the armor behind the pilots seat, there actually is no armor behind his seat. Looks like there is a shelf, so I cut the armor plate off just under the pins. The left over piece simulates the wing spar and will support the rear floor. I would like to credit these photos to John Clements who posted them on the ARC website.

Got some more work done on the interior. That's my favorite part of WW2 aircraft as so much detail can be added to try and match the photos.
