Kit: Airfix Me 262A-2A
Scale: 1/72
Extras - Some scratch built details

Another great new Airfix offering. I built the Me 262B Night fighter in an earlier group build and this kit looks much the same. Not sure what version I'll build, there are two options. I'm kind of leaning for the white number 7 262A-1A. Handy too because I had this kit in my stash

Nice one, though you confused me with the "white number 7 262B-1A". Just a typo.

1A is the fighter version (white 7) 2A is the bomber version. There is a rocket rack for the fighter but no rockets. I might scratch build some.

Well here we go, finally a start on this kit. Cockpit assembly and paint. Masking tape belts. I cut the buckles and so on from PE belts and glue them to the masking tape. I find forming PE belts to fit is a monstrous hassle ! So far so good.

Well back to business. March 17th, St Patrick's day, my Son George's birthday and the day of his wedding. We held it here at the house. It was a hectic few days but a good time. Back to my hideout in the basement. Added some extra goodies to the wheel bays. There isn't a lot to this kit so I though it could use a bit of bling that will be barely visible when it's done ! I'll know it's there.

Goodness me! I can visulise detail like this on a 1:32 or and to some degree on a 1:48 scale, but to this detail on 1:72, this is true dedication to detail.
