Greetings Folks;
..... The Nike Ajax was the first ground to air guided missile that the United States
Army put into production.
The missile used a solid propellant booster, and a liquid propellant second stage
contained within the missile body.
The Douglas Nike Ajax was superseded by the Douglas Nike Hercules guided missile.
Which had a larger warhead, ((Nuclear) on some missiles), and could reach an
altitude of 150,000 + feet.
