1938 Chevrolet in the USA - maybe a 1937 chevvy - my dad had one like it until 1950, of course, without German markings.
He finally sold it when the clutch slipped so badly that we climbed the hill to our house in reverse.
Remember, those old Chevvys had a closed driveshaft which meant a big job to change the clutch.

I agree. that's the Chevrolet Sedan (GA Master DeLuxe, GB Master) model 1937. If enlarged the Chevrolet logo can be noticed.

These cars from 30' are very similar. Sometimes a small detail may be a clue but not always it can be noticed at glance.
