It is not Rzeszów but the Bielsko-Biała Aleksandrowice airfield about 90km West-South of Cracow. The PZL P-11c , serial 8.34 "White 8" , underwing code 142 K, belonged to the 122nd FS and was abandoned there after the port side wheel leg was broken on September the 1st by officer cadet Władysław Chciuk during landing after a dogfight.

BTW ... it is the same aircraft seen in your post #62.
 
The P-11c of the 122nd FS is quite well know example of the Polish kite lost in the September 1939. There is more shots of her that can be found in the net. These above show the plane more derelicted if compared to those other images. So if you say "Rzeszów" instead of the "Bielsko-Biała Aleksandrowice" you may get more customers because most collectors already have had the shots from Aleksandrowice. In other words a marketing/advertising gimmick.

Certainly the images can be obtained by using the orginal negatives. But also these can be the copies made by using of scans of the orginal shots. But if somebody says that's the location is different from the one all knew ... I would have some doubt if it could be the orginal. Anyway the pictures are really great. THX por posting. :cool:

It is the PZL P-11c "White 3" s/n. 8.138, the underwing code "62 W". The aircraft was tested by the ITL ( Aviation Technical Institute ) in Warsaw and captured by Germans in autumn 1939. The kite was probably moved from the ITL to the Pursuit Brigade as the supply.

Both pictures were taken by Germans at the Warsaw-Okęcie airfield in September 1939. The top one shows the PZL P-11c ( 8.90) "White 2"of the 113th Fighter Squadron and standing behind her the PZL P-7a ( 6.85) "White 5" of the 123th FS.
The bottom image presents the wrecks of the PZL P-11c of the 112th and 113th Fighter Squadrons.
