I suspect these craters seen on a LIDAR cartography, in a remote forest in the Vosges mountains, France, to be the craters formed by bombs of a B-17 emergency bombs release, during the air battle of May 27 , 1944, that occured over these mountains, and and in which several 351 BG b-17s were shot down ; does my analysis seems realistic to the bomb experts of this group ?
