Awesome Neil. Many thanks.
That Exe sure was a go-er! 1160hp @ 1,000ft, 4200rpm at take-off power. And only 4.5psi boost!
And 1100hp @ 5,0000ft and 950hp @ 15,000ft, 3800rpm
Vulture RV.2SM: 2000hp @ 5,000ft, 3000rpm, +9.25psi boost MS gear, 1860hp @ 14,500ft, 3000rp, +9.25psi boost.
Max take-off power, 2100hp @ sea level, 3000rpm, +11.5psi boost.
Not too many aero engines at that time had the combination of power and compactness that the Vulture did. Pity about the reliability.
Dagger VIII: 1000hp @ 8,750ft, 4200rpm, +5psi boost max. But the other curve on the graph shows 1115hp @ 7,250ft, 4400rpm and +7psi boost.
Not sure I follow the RPM-power graphs. The curves don't finish up at the max power point.
