    Hi all

I'm just about to start a 1/48th scale Corsair. I'm a bit short on images. There are plenty of high gloss restoration aircraft but I'm after photograph of war weary F 4U especially ground based units in the PTO. I have the Corsair in Action by Squadron Publications but any extra sources would be very welcome.

We seem to be a little starved of books on the Corsair in the UK, anyone recommend any good ones?

    Thanks in advance

Use Google F4U, then select "images" from the top of the page, it will do you what you may be looking for. cheers, Bill

Dan - thanks for the link, going there in a tick. \\:D/

Bill - "Google" is my best friend but sadly most of the google images are the shiny glossy blue restored models. 8)

Now those two image are superb - just the sort of thing I'm after. Plenty of coral dust.

    Thanks Verner

Here's a pretty weathered one! I think the carrier based planes were kept pretty clean as they were not in such harsh climes all the time, and plenty of crew to take care of them.
