Picked up an Italeri 1/72 F-8 at a fire sale. Built out of the box and painted with Tamiya spray and Model Master paints. It's not my best work but it came out OK.
I did learn that Tamiya spray paint dries to a different color being sprayed then hand painted. I sprayed the body with Gunship Gray and then sprayed a small amount into a bottle for small touch ups. The touch up areas dried darker than the sprayed area. I hand painted the main canopy and it is much darker than the body (the foward canopy is flat black). Oh well, you live you learn...
