The Me 262 was faster and more heavily armed than the Gloster Meteor. Had the former benefited from the use of its intended but unobtainable alloys, production methods and fuels, the 262 should also be a little better still.
At what point did British jet fighters leave even the hypothetical best-produced and fuelled 262 in the dust? Supermarine Attacker or Swift, DH Vampire, Gloster Meteor F8? Or is a well fettled Meteor F4 all it takes?

Assume that the GM's pilot was somewhat less experienced but more knowledgeable about the enemy aircraft than the 262 pilot (an allied jet fighter arriving with no warning would've be a shocker). Both of them meet each other at the same altitude shortly after the 262's dive on a B-17 Flying...
