Nope,real.Thumbed a ride in this particular one and went off-roading all over the property, including the massive dirt pile of foundation dirt. A lot of fun and very clanky. I suspect Jarot had more fun driving it!
 
In a way, it was the first full-tracked armored personnel carrier. Small, but very mobile and its philosophy of use was prescient. APC's became ubiquitous, post-war, and it was the first one, more or less. (Or, as my wife would put it: "It's really cute.")
