Hello,
I have found some parts of a Short Stirling MK3 (BK722) that was crashed in the Netherlands in June 1943. This aircraft exploded in the air and three crew members were killed in action. There are some numbers on the aluminum box casting (2702 and 230...). Anyone who has an idea to which part of the plane these relics belong to?
I guess it will be possible to determine the red painted (folded) round object and the steel (rusty) bold.
