Someone recently was asking about French Air Force Recon Lightning markings. I just found these. By the way when they say "8th PR Group in India" in reality it was the 9th.

He was shot down flying a F5B with tail code 228223.

SN was 42-68223 (tail code 268223), tail code 228223 is a P-47D SN42-28223
