Communities south of Fort McMurray ordered to leave as wildfire advances

Been watching on the news, that is a bad bad scene, We prepped to evacuate for the Hayman fires here, not a pleasant thing to go thru.

Saw this on the BBC News - shocking.

Our company has 3 project sites affected. Employees gave up their camp rooms and slept in site office trailers to make room for evacuated families.

Two more towns are being evacuated this morning. Serious sh!t

A friend of mine, who is part of a swamper team for the U.S.F.S., told me that there is help being sent with more on the way from various local, state and federal agencies.

I spent more than 2 years, off and on, working on Syncrude and Suncor projects and got to know many of the plant's workers who lived in Fort McMurray. I'm sure some of them have lost the homes which I have visited. My prayers and sorrow go out to them.
