during ww2, has fw 190 D-9 shot down any spitfire XIV's?

Going through Caldwell's JG 26 War Diary, volume II, they started recieving D-9s in late '44. Claims vs Spitfires occur with some regularity. But the specific mark is not listed.

Casual check of Foreman's Fighter Command War Diaries has a 350 Squadron Mk XIV flown by Flying Officer A.Cresswell-Turner shot down by a 190D-9 piloted by Unteroffizer Freidrich Rohrmann of II./JG 26 on 5th April 1945.

diddnt it got shot down by flak?

Not according to Foreman. He specifies the aircraft was bouncded and shot down by Rohrmann, who was in turn shot down by other 350 Sqdrn Spitfires.
there was a claim about heinz marquardt shooting down one of the spitfires before he was shot down

350 Squadron's Operations Record Book recorded for 5th April: "Another Armed Recce is on in the same area uneventful but on the second operation of the morning P/O Muls after shooting at a horse and cart was bounced by an FW.190. He simply shot it down and his number 2 F/S Newlinger on his second Ops. shares it with him. Unfortunately F/O. Cresswell-Turner and F/O Van Eeckhoudt were split when bounced by 5 FW.190s and F/O Cresswell-Turner did not return."

Shores and Thomas in 2nd Tactical Air Force wrote for 5 April 1945:
"Spitfire XIVs from both 350 and 402 Squadrons undertook patrols on the morning of the 5th, as the FW 190Ds of II. and IV,/JG 26 took off on various duties. II. Gruppe's aircraft were bomb laden, but these were jettisoned when 402 Squadron aircraft intercepted; however on this occasion the German pilots managed to disengage without loss. During these manoeuvres, Uffz Fritz Rohrmann became seperated, and flying alone, attacked a small formation of 350 Squadron's aircraft which were straffing roads near Friesoythe. He hit Flg Off. A. Cresswell-Taylor's aircraft, which he later claimed as a probable, but he had in fact been succesful in shooting the latter down north-west of Meppen, Cresswell-Taylor becoming a POW. Two of the other Spitfire pilots, Flg Off R. Muls and Flt Sgt S. H. Neulinger, then shot down Rohrmann's aircraft, and he bailed out, suffering injuries."

Caldwell in JG 26 War Diary writes very much the same events as Shores and Thomas regarding 5 April 45.

F/O (Pilot) Anthony CRESWELL-TURNER, 152668 (1625764) flying Spitfire XIV, 350 Sqdn, RB185, took off B.78 (Eindhoven/NL) on an armed recce. Hit by flak and finished of by FW190 of JG26. Crashlanded in the area of Cloppenburg/Germany, 5th April 1945. Pilot injured but unknown whether he was PoW or evaded capture.

And?

That doesn't seem to have anything to do with the loss. Claygill, in Ultimate Spitfires, has Cresswell-Turner piloting serial number RB 185 and "shot down by JG 26 near Cloppenberg".

Morgan and Shacklady have RB 185 as "failed to return" from ops on the 5th.

350th Squadron diary (online) has Cresswell-Turner damaged by Flak then shot down by FW 190s of JG 26. He was wounded and made a POW.

You just can't hold yourself ,can you? The question of the thread was if a spitfire xiv was shot down by a D9.
Kurfust was absolutely correct about you.
And in order to make you feel satisfied. Of course the xiv was far superior.
