I'm using a resin cockpit. Don't know why. The pit is so difficult to see inna Hurricane!
Have been doing some clean up with kit parts being used, and I have done some interior green painting.
Photos to follow when it is together.Meanwhile I am doing some graphics and is taking up my time.
Cheers

I really have been doing bits onner.
Doing some odds and end graphix so it's Spare time now.
Have run into some rather unexpected issues.
First I assembled the Kit pit, looks like a bit of work!!! Not.

In this kit the "escape" door is a separate piece.
No idea why, it is Not normally Open!!!!!
It has Shape issues, trim and fill with card stock. WT&*%#@

So on to the wings. The gun covers are separate pieces.
No idea why. Because the wings are two pieces, pay a lot
of attention to how the openings for the covers fit because
they don't. File and sandalot!!!!!! I'll shove some card stock
up the cracks!!!!!!!!!!! Sandalot after! The pit is in the photo,
Aires!

I have just noticed in the photos of most of the
CAM Hurricanes, the spinner is much Longer
than either of these babies. Am I wrong?

Back to it tomorrow. Gear is Up in this case.
Fortunately the kit comes with closed gear doors.

Good stuff so Far Bill, and yes, the escape hatch on the starboard side wasn't hinged. It was a "knock out" panel, released by a lever inside and then jettisoned.
Quite a gap on those gun inserts. Have you checked they're the correct orientation, side for side (although it looks like they'll still have gaps.) ?
The kit provides props and spinners for the Mk.1, with a choice of DH prop (pointy spinner) and Rotol prop (bulbous spinner).
The longer spinner you mention would be the Rotol prop as fitted to the Mk.II.
I'm still in Norfolk, so can't check my references, but it's possible that at least some "Hurricats" used the MkI type Rotol prop as provided in the kit.

It does look like a straight Italeri release.

As for the interference?

From the Italeri instructions. Looks like the head rest piece is to be in front of the fuselage chunk? That small side shot is not in the Tamiya instructions.
