Cheers Wayne.

Considering nice marking options...
Does anyone know of 1:72 markings for aircraft '5' (PW773) with the chalked slogan 'Churchill's Reply' etc on the sides?

Also, does anyone know the identity of, or have other photos of/ information about, the below Horsa? My son loves the slogans :)

Considering a couple of others too, but the chalked slogans on the above make them extra attractive :)

Cheers!

Cheers Geo. I did see that, but still don't know her serial. Looks like they couldn't find it out either!
Note: Xtradecal suggest using the White '92' on the cargo door, but this is not visible in the photo at all.

Built it myself in about 1987 or so. That was also in pretty rough shape! Hope to do better this time :)

Started... wings in progress.

Was debating whether to have flaps down, and/or ailerons offset etc to make it more interesting, but in the majority of photos I've seen, they are all sitting level and, unless landed in operations, flaps up. Saves extra mucking round I guess, so no harm there.

Cheers guys.

Scattered progress, as and when possible...

First started cleaning up the cockpit. Floor is incorrect as is, so started to make a new one from sheet styrene. Since then read the floor should be 4 mm higher (in 1:72) - had suspected as much, as looks alot higher in photos of actual aircraft - so a new wider floor will have to be made.

Next did the main Mk.II to Mk.I conversion - shortening the fuselage. I have a second (incomplete) kit to show before and after.

...And couldn't resist not trying to move the rudder, as appears in some photos (centred in most, unless landed on ops). Second rear fuselage to compare before and after. May yet use the second fuse with fixed rudder, depending on which photo I follow. Markings and situation are still to be decided.

Dry fit...
