This one might set a record for the oldest zombie in this group build. I started it 30 years ago when my new wife bought me my first airbrush. I had bought the kit used at Stanton's Hobby Shop -now long gone- and it was well along when I realized that there was no canopy in the box causing me to put it aside. From time to time I tried to find a replacement, but it appears that no one had ever made a vacuform canopy for this kit. Well today I ordered the whole kit off eBay and will either just steal the canopy out of it or try to make a vac copy from it.

Here's the box, and the model with the dust from many years

The correct name is Corshair !!

Hannant's have three lots of birdcage canopies, from Falcon (in a set of other canopies, at around £15 GBP for the set) and Squadron (with two other aircraft type, at around £5 for the set, or the Rob Taurus ( set of two canopies I believe) at £5.50. The last one is out of stock but die back in stock soon. Rob Taurus canopies are really excellent, being very clear, well defined, and not as "flimsy" as some others, being rigid, and easy to remove from the moulded sheet.
Rob Taurus canopy pic below.

I know it's bind with minimum order and shipping, but if you want one, let me know and I'll get it on an order for some my stuff and send it over, no problem.

Thanks for the offer Terry but I have the Falcon vac canopy for the Tamiya bird cage as well as the one for the Arii/Otaka kit cockpit and neither of them fit the AMT kit which has a much wider opening. Thats why I finely bit the bullet and just bought another AMT kit.

Here it is with most of the dust removed. The paint job isn't the best as it was one of the first I did while learning to use an airbrush, but I will be leaving it "as is" and just do some weathering on it. One of the elevators is missing but I'm pretty sure where it is and if not, I will either make one up or steal one from the new AMT kit

OK Glenn, no problem.

The Corsair is looking much better, now more of a "Hairless Joe" !
You could maybe make the second model as a wrecked or landing-damaged example ?
