Ahoy Fellas

I just completed my GB. Build No.17 of the Me163 Killer Flea. Now its time to build another. Here is a kit you don't see everyday specially again in paper. This is the Col. Paul Tibbets B-29, Enola Gay. The kit is huge with a wingspread of 50 inchs... big enough.... The printing is excellent all in shiny Aluminum, the panel lines are very well represented and the fuselage builds into three sections, making the fuselage as a one entire unit instead of sections. Here are the pictures I will post the build progress tonite as I get started.

thanks Fellas for your replies you are a bunch of swell fellas to say the least............... Okay here is the build report for the night more pix tomorrow. As you can see the pilots compartment is coming along very well in view of the kit as far as I got on the pilots compartment i noticed that there is no radio box,s and no flight engineers consol and dials. these in turn will have to bew scratched in as big as this thing is it wont be a problem.. the rest of the build is striaght forward the silverized paper used to simulate thye actual aluminum aircraft is very touchy it can pick up dents very easy so far i havent made any mistakes in that direction I,m being carefull. Here are the pictures for the night.......................

Thanks Gang for your replies i couldn,t build this without you great fellas............... Okay fellas the build reporet for the today is the closweing of the forward fuelage unit, Next on the build i added the rear former and the presure bulkhead that leads to the bomb bay the crawl way tunnel will be added tomorrow along with the bomb bay intereir details.. I decided to add some panel work useing kitchen foil this will enhance the build.. This thig is huge I kid you not the front fuselage unit is about the size of a tube of Balogna where you buy at the grocery store iots 18 inch,s long I have another 30 inchs of fuselage to go. I am going to take Pauls advice get another romm to store it when done.. so far on the build there is no fit problems the cardstock that used on the kit is quite thin compared to the norm in card kits when its time to go to the wings and stabilizers i will apply another sheet of cardstock to give trhe wings some strength and keep from wrinkeling here is trhe buiuld report for the day more tomorrow.

Bu@@er me Boats, from a dinky little thing like the Me 163, to a goliath. It'll take more than a week with this one though...........................but then again, looking at how far you have got in a day……………….maybe not. Hope you have enough glue……………

Thanks Charles ,Paul and the rest of you great fellows, As to the build update I been working on the bomb bay assembly the bomb bay compartment is a little sparse I will add more detail to it as the build proceeds......... Unfortunately there is only one bomb bay that is opened for display the other is printed closed but can be opened up and exstended by adding an extra crawl way tunnel and pressure bulkhead. but GPM elected only one bomb bay to house the Fat Boy Atomic bomb.............The kit is pretty elementry to my standards and it look like its goping to be a good 2 week build I also have in my stash GPMs Monsoon Goon a much more up to date kit with todays technology Miles and then some better its printed in olive drab over Nuetral Gray............ Okay back to the build there are no fit issues with the kit so far and goes together very well she is a huge beast of a model to behold, fuselage length is 39 inch,s long.......... I am adding polished panels on the fuselage a little extra I am building into the kit I seen B-29s up close before they have alot of panels that are polished and some that aren,t I added towo more skins to the fusleage and have one more i will install same this evening............... and I will start adding the panel work useing Reynolds wrap aluminum. Here is the update I will post more today.
