I recognise most of the cars as well but that is from following the sport not from being "old" ;) They just about sound better back in the old days.

Another 3 I like on a similar theme.

You can possibly work out where my allegiance lies in F1 ;)

The last 2 Senna videos are fantastic. What a time for F1, it was all about the drivers then.

I actually miss the old type leMans/Indy Can Am cars like the first ferrari. wish they would have a class for them. ( they probably do but i have never seen it ). i never saw those race anywhere except on TV. i did get to see jackie stewart in his L M lola race against peter revson ( before he crashed in 1970) at the mid-ohio raceway. and got to see ( not running ) andy granatelli's turbine powered STP special...whcih was cool.

When I was in the Air Force in the late 60s one of the guys had the sound track from the movie " Gran Prix "
Part of it was a Ferrari doing a lap at Monaco or Monza, he'd play it on the best speakers you could get at the time.
Beautiful sounds, good driving scenes in the movie too.

I've been to 5 or 6 F1 gps, 1 in France at the Circuit Paul Ricard, think 4 times to Watkins Glen home of the "Bog Wants You",long story that, and went once to the Montreal GP. All were a great experiance, Got to hear Renaults V6 turbos, Matra V12s, Alfas V12,of course Ferrari's Vs and they never failed to thrill me. Watkins Glen was great because you could get really close to the action, have some great 35mm shots taken with my Topcon and Icarex camera's.
