Well the Cruisers definantly had the lines.

Alaska class

True, but the Battleships were just the be-all end-all of all that is badass!

Case in point, the Tirpitz (and Bismark) just had that badass look to 'em (almost as cool as the Iowa class BBs)

Battleships would be either the Yamato BB or the Iowa class BB. Cruiser would have to the Alaska which I believe was a Battle or Large Cruiser.

I've always liked the lines of the old diesel subs. Sleek, sexy, they exude a confidence and power and the knowledge that they were built for one purpose and are dam good at that purpose.

Some good choices. But they are all beautiful ships, even the lowly destroyer escorts.
