With the recent forum changes, and the darned arthritis also playing up, I forgot to post this.
January 9th saw the 75th anniversary of the first flight of the Avro Lancaster, an event which, unlike the anniversaries of the Spitfire's first flight, seems to have been missed, certainly in the general media.
I was fortunate enough to see the World's only two airworthy 'Lancs' airborne together, at Little Gransden, in August 2014, when the Canadian Warplane Heritage example joined the BBMF's 'PA474' in the skies over Britain - and what a sight, and sound, it was !
