Well, this is my first build where I attempted some weathering techniques. A dry pastel powder application for the gun burns and exhaust. The a pastel wash for the look of weathering for the plane. Once again the mast is a bit bent, some fogging, and the landing gear isn't perfect. But for my first attempt at weathering, I am happy.

Not bad at all Tom, well done.
Looks like Hobby Boss have possibly provided some strange roundels for a 3 Squadron aircraft of the period though (not your fault), as they would have changed to the later style by then.

Looks good!

I like Hobbyboss models. They have descent detail and go together quickly. And they're cheap too!

I like Hobby Boss because the plastic is thick and solid, the pieces fit together nice and tight, and they are of high quality for the price.

The only big con of Hobby Boss is their lack of detail in their cockpits.

My preferred part of the build is painting so the easy build I kind of like.

I'm working on a Hobby Boss FW 190 and should have it wrapped up in a couple days.
