Hi All. Ii have always been in to engineering since leaving school spent my last 20 years working in aircraft composites Airbus Boeing MOD British Aerospace. Now going back to my childhood days using my hands and hardly any tools as we had to make things all by hand all part our childhood growing up. Now at present using mother nature's materials which I am lucky to be surrounded with to make model air planes so far completed A Tecnam P2800 and still in progress de havilland mosquito multi role combat aircraft ww2 carved out in olive wood.

As I am new to the site. First of all thank you all for a very nice warm welcome from the above comments looks a great site to be involved in. Not to sure on where to put up the work I do on the site sent the request to admin for advice, as most of what I do is made from huge lumps of Olive wood. One plane is finish the other still in progress no plans no scales just an eye and a few thousand cups of tea any advice would be great, once again thank you all.

Great site.....but don't ever, ever, ever disparage the Spitfire/s.

Welcome from the colonies.

"It may be crap, but it's British crap!" Said in an RNZAF training hangar by an instructor whilst teaching engineering to students on a de Havilland Devon who were perplexed by some of its peculiarities...

When I first reported to Boca Chica, the commuter airline serving EYW from MIA had three Cessna 402s and one of these, but it was re-engined with Lycomings, as there was no support for the original (Gypsy?) engines in south Florida. It was kind of cute, but a little on the diminutive side for American-sized people. I tried shoehorning my 6'5" frame into the cockpit once just for grins and decided it was too close to "cruel and unusual" punishment for my liking. Bad as an MG Midget or bugeye Sprite, which I never could get into. Knees just don't bend the right way.

Welcome aboard, what part of Cyprus are you from?
