My name is Tom and I live in the north georgia mts in Gainesville.I'm interested in the early jet aircraft.One quetion?Is there a number about how many V1 cuise missles were fillipped over By either the meteor or other aircraft.These were not 'shot down' but brought down.What was the tactic they used to bring these buzz bombs down.

Mainly the Tempests were assigned the duty, and they would dive on the Buzz Bomb, get very close to it and tip their wingtip over and flip the bomb into the ground...

Only if they'd exhausted their guns would they do it

I used to own a training card that had model pictures and a diagram for that manuever, but have lost it in the many moves I have done. It was a fairly simple manuever, just took timing and some nerve.
